PRP Treatment

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma), which is applied with platelet-rich plasma obtained from your own blood, is used in the treatment of many diseases. PRP treatment is a procedure preferred by more and more people every year, thanks to its benefits. The key ingredient that makes it so effective is platelets. Platelets play several important roles in your body. Most importantly, they allow new cells to grow while removing old, damaged cells from an injury site. PRP allows us to control and accelerate your body's healing processes and get you up and running faster. As the name suggests, platelet-rich plasma is a volume of plasma with a high concentration of platelets.
What is PRP Treatment?
PRP therapy (platelet-rich plasma - platelet-rich plasma) is the process of giving platelet-rich plasma to the body by injection. The blood taken from the patient's body is centrifuged to obtain platelet-rich plasma (PRP). PRP is then injected into the patient. The obtained plasma is very rich in cells called "platelets". Platelets, whose main task in the body is to ensure blood coagulation, have an important role in wound healing thanks to the growth factors they contain.
How is PRP treatment done?
PRP obtained from the person's own blood is applied by injecting small amounts under the skin. Thus, platelets, the amount of which is much higher than the amount that can be transported by the blood circulation, is delivered to the area to be repaired, ensuring a rapid regeneration. With the PRP application, the collagen structure in the application area is strengthened. The first step of the process is to separate the platelets and plasma from your blood by following the steps described above. Once this is complete, the PRP is drawn into a syringe and the site is prepared for injection. A healthy diet is recommended in the days before treatment as this will ensure that your plasma is of the highest quality. Your body renews its plasma roughly every three days, so you should try to eat healthy during this time before treatment. Depending on the nature of the problem, PRP can be applied to several areas with small injections. For deeper injections, an anesthetic injection may be made first to make the procedure more comfortable. Generally, PRP application is completed in less than an hour. Genetic, environmental, age-related, stress-related, alcohol and smoking-related factors adversely affect metabolism and slow cell regeneration. PRP causes an increase in production and a regeneration effect in the tissue to which it is applied. Platelets have restorative effects. The main purpose of PRP treatment is regeneration. Thus, a tighter and brighter skin, reduced sagging, reduced wrinkles, lighter skin spots and reduced scars are observed.
